Annual Trail Closures to protect Peregrine falcons Details

Description

This climb is on the Central Slabs; after passing the end of the Lower Wall, go up the talus and Staircase and continue right.

Start as for Bartleby, but at the roof go right. Climb straight up to a tree ledge and a fixed anchor.

Location

Precipice Right. Shares start with Bartleby.

Protection

Standard rack. Mostly hand sized for the crux.

Photos

I thought this was a really excellent climb. For what it's worth, although the beta photo and description here recommend you follow the roof crack over to finish up on Crack of Senility, the Grant Simmons guidebook recommends that you trend back left at the end of the roof. Going left there are 2-3 exciting slab moves before you get to jugs and some gear, at which point you can cruise straight up to the bolts. This seems like a much more satisfying end to a 5.10 lead than thrashing up the wide part of Crack of Senility. Oct 24, 2017
