Description
This route starts as for Take the Power Back, clipping a single bolt for protection and then going up a crack for 30' or so. At 40', two cracks split the roof, only 2 meters apart or less. The direct route that continues straight up is Take the Power Back. Stepping just left over into a more open, wide-hands variation below the roof allows one to climb a jamming route through the bulge, utilizing hands or wide-hands jamming technique to ascend the crux at the bulge. While this route is published as slightly harder than the direct route at 5.10a, it actually feels more secure as a crack climb and didn't seem any harder to me. The route is a bit off-balance, but the jams are so secure it seems elementary to finish the route.
Location
This route begins with the single bolt start of Take the Power Back and finishes with the same 2 bolt anchor as for that climb. The difference is that at 40' up, the route splits and does the left-hand crack through the roof and up to the top, creating a significant variation at the crux.
