More Info
I started climbing as a teen in the Midwest in the 80's... I moved to Boulder County in search of more rock in 1995. The crags around Boulder are now my home away from home. I've gone through periods of time where one particular location or another was my primary area, but as a husband and father, I tend to have a lot less free time now, and so I wander about more. I usually climb trad or solo and like longer routes best, but I also occasionally climb aid or sport.

I once counted and had climbed 800+ routes in Eldorado Canyon (with repeats, it would have been uncountable), 800+ in Boulder Canyon, 600+ in the Flatirons and a few hundred or more each in the SSV, Lumpy Ridge, the South Plate, Vedauvoo and Indian creek. I also like to climb in RMNP and other alpine areas locally and nationally. My favorite road trips are to Joshua Tree - CA(300+ routes), Red Rocks - NV (~200 routes) and my home crag of over a decade ago, Red River Gorge, KY (hundreds, but never counted).
Have loved a few trips to other places - Yosemite and the High Sierra, teh Mammoth/Bishop crags, Tahoe, Truckee, the Bay Area crags, Sedona, Mt Lemon, Cochise, Squamish, City of Rocks, Zion, Snow Canyon, Black Canyon, Unaweep, Colorado National Monument, Conway, Gunks, Devil's Lake, The North Shore (of Superior), Seneca, New River Gorge, T-Wall, Sand Rock, etc...
I've made over to climb in Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Australia, Norway, Sweden, Mexico and Canada.
These days I'm just looking to see a few more areas while there is time to do it... Next up is ??? I'd love to hit the Elephant's Perch and Switzerland some day.
