Description Suggest change

This is a fun bolt/gear route that is mostly 5.8ish with a short, definitive 5.10+ crux at the third bolt.

Start at the two bolt anchor at the top of P1 of Sidetrack with Direct Start.

Step right from the bolt anchor, and climb a right-facing, right-leaning corner until it’s possible to pull out left and climb an easy slab to the first bolt. Continue past the first three bolts, then head slightly left and up on positive holds past a few sneaky gear placements to a fourth bolt. Veer left for a few moves and up the face to the Sidetrack Junction.

There is limited consensus on the grade - short folks may find it a bit harder.

There is an open project direct finish up the arete (straight above third bolt). It is probably 5.13 and pretty easy to lower down from the Sidetrack Junction for a look, but watch out for some sharp edges.

Location Suggest change

It ascends the large face to the right of pitch two of Sidetrack with Direct Start.

Protection Suggest change

A standard rack with a few extra cams in the blue and gray C3 size.
