Apr 16, 2026 · 6 pitches. Lead / Onsight. pitches 1 and 2 were great -- pitch 2 belay at the big tree.
BUT THEN we went straight up / left -- staying inside the big dihedral -- instead of moving right and climbing up the face. that led us WAY off route.
hopped down a small dihedral onto zig zag, then after the pitch 3 belay, veered further left having spotted a small glade of trees (i think it's toward the end of Atalanta?).
that served as a haven and a place to look at the maps and google earth to figure out where tf we were. Turned out that glade is just a short easy pitch from the ridgeline.

Feb 1, 2026 · 2 pitches. Lead / Onsight. Great day out w/ Kate.
P1 you do indeed just go right under the flake. It's 5.5 all the supposed underclings are just sidepulls.
Look for tunnels to sling at both anchor points.
Walkoff was exposed but not technical. Roped Kate up for one ~8ft section.

Oct 7, 2025 · Lead / Onsight. Triples in .75 and 1 and double nuts wouldn’t go amiss, especially for the pitch 3 anchor.
1-3 then 4-5 feels like the most efficient sequence, but most of the fun is in 1-3 imo.

Aug 17, 2024 · 2 pitches. Lead / Onsight. Birthday(ish) climb with Kate and Peter!
Gear:
double nuts
guide ATC
spare locker
single to 3", double .5" - 2"
6 quickdraws
1x alpine draw
2 pre-tied anchors
2 cord w/ beaners
6 shoulder slings w/ beaners
Lessons:
Place even more nuts. Hell, place only nuts.
Way overshot the second belay and ended up like 10ft short of the top tree after 70m. Try the 2-pitch variant next time.
Had actually thinned out my rack considerably by the end of the 70m pitch, which helps me understand why all the Yose routes with 200ft pitches call for a double rack.
Either make do with 1x cord at the tree or bring 3 cord.
Maybe like 3 quickdraws and the rest alpine.
