Description

Yup, that's the name. One of the first hard open projects Dave cleaned up at Rumney when he, Luke Parady and Joe Kinder hit the scene as teenagers. Probably done with horrible technique - Damn kids! This extension to Great White or Waimea attacks the difficult dark bulge and corner above to gain a finger crack. Climb Waimea and step left, or Great White and step right. Very powerful, fun bouldery moves (shoulder intensive). This route is overlooked by most, so probably hasn't had a recent ascent and may need a little rebrushing.

Location

Above and left of the route Waimea, left side of Waimea cliff.

Protection

Quickdraws for Waimea, slings for the mid anchor and quickdraws for 4 more bolts and the top anchor.

Probably the most overlooked route at Waimea, even though crowds congregate below, which is a shame as it is very worthy (that is if you are strong!) Oct 6, 2014
