May 4, 2026 · 2 pitches. Lead / Redpoint. w K. lead what I think in Boston Rock is called the 5.6 straight variation, i.e. going "straight" on the top overhang crux (going right would be bailing to the very easy arete route, while going much further left should be supposedly the 5.7 version?). A medium size red nut protected well the overhang crux. The overhang move has good feet and hands so it felt more like 5.5 than 5.6. The rest of the route below is mostly 5.1 with just one 5.4 starting move. Then repeated following K's lead.

Apr 25, 2026 · Lead / Onsight. 52F. w J&K. J lead p1 (29m 10bolts sustained 5.7+ crux near the top). I lead p2 (8m total, one 5.7+ move protected by one high bolt, but could add below a mid .75 or #1 cam; then aimed toward tree on 4m of 5.3 climbing with no bolts, maybe takes smaller cams, next time will try) skipped anchors above Sesame St to avoid drag, slang instead tree & continued on its right (5.3, 21m, 5 bolts a bit spaced apart 3m/b for a beginner leader, but did not feel PG13 at the grade for New England standards, nor too dirty). Dirty walk off 5.0 scramble through low angle slabs with trees seemed ?plasible? climber left without climbing the White Buttress nor Greener Pastures. But we rappelled over Bourbon St directly to top of p1 (70m rope had a bit more than 5m left), then second rappel to ground (70m rope had a bit more than 5m left).
