Sep 20, 2024 · Lead / Fell/Hung. About 14 hrs car to car. Got stuck behind 2 slow parties, Connor believe we waited at belays for 4 hours, I feel like it more like was 3. Still a really fun route. Finished the east ledges raps right when it got dark, descent was about 2 hours. One fixed rope had a knot Connor had to pass. P1 5.9 was very hard for me but I sent. P2 5.10b felt decent in TC Pros, I sent but then fell on the stupid finger crack higher up on the pitch. Connor said he armbarred in the tube that the crack is in. Also took on P7 (5.8 pitch below 5.9 pitch) because all the gear I wanted was in the anchor and I got flustered. After gathering myself I was able to finish with the gear I had. 5.8R P10 was def not R but still heads up, but veryyy fun. From P9 belay, Connor went down then over then up crack before making the few mandatory face moves to the right (good holds)

Sep 16, 2024 · 2 pitches. Follow. Led an interesting little pitch from top of catchy to tree below corner. Then Connor sent the corner! I was so close to sending on follow but my right foot slipped during a layback right near the end. I got right back on and sent the rest. Bomber handjam at the end of the crack but it’s still not straightforward to get up to the chains. The rest midway isn’t that great. Stemming out with right foot on farther crack above rest helps, and finding any jams possible so you don’t have to layback as much is key. Rapped to tree with 70, then tree to catchy anchor

P3 was longggg (Connor belayed a little too early) but fun, nothing crazy, the chimney on the left of the huge flake is really fun and is not as runout/hard as it looks. P4 and P5 have a few short but fun 5.10 cruxes. On P4 crux, Connor was able to get in a black totem to the left, around the same height as a nut, and then a gold totem a bit higher. Jul 14, 2024 · Lead / Fell/Hung. I led P1 and P4, Connor led P2 and P3. P1 belay - the obvious crack to build anchor in is with a loose block, back it up. P2 felt very hard in the black totem finger crack but also gaining the belay ledge corner, fell in both spots. That ledge is a good hold itself, and there's a crimp a few inches below that, otherwise nothing. Roof traverse below penji feels 5.9 but very fun. Connor had to aid a lot after penji, and then he had to back clean a lot to get to a point where I didn't have to lower out on follow. Might be better to belay with 2 ropes (need a 2nd anyway for the rap - 2x double 60m raps to the ground). P3 step around was definitely committing but not too bad. Can get some good pieces in there but then have to climb a bit above gear before getting gear in crack again as it widens. P3 felt so much easier than P2, did not fall on P3. P4 was a joy to lead with a #9 and #12 valley giant. Only the #9 fits for most of it. When that gets tipped out, you can squeeze the #12 in and it looks overcammed but somehow doesn't get stuck. Fell/took a couple times on P4. Crescent Moon variation looks awesome but really sketch to get to. Really cool climb!

Jun 11, 2024 · Lead / Onsight. Led P1, very fun. Connor led P2 and I followed. We both fell once when the feet disappear, but so close and so fun! Would actually take off helmet next time. Can kinda chimney against roof at the last of the good feet, then just have to get as good of hand jams as you can (thick gloves) and there actually are some feet they're just tiny. I found one stance that was quite wide but secure. Small gear in deep. 0.75 and 2 to pull around roof.

Jun 11, 2024 · 1 pitch. Follow. Such a fun climb. Very enduro by the time you get to the end. Crux at start feels good if you find the right jams and good left feet. Can lean against right wall, or connor stemmed out with right foot and dropped knee
