There are many seasonal raptor closures with varying dates and specific boundaries. These generally effect The Monument, Kiss of the Lepers, Picnic Lunch Wall and/or Smith Rock group, and possibly elsewhere. These usually run from February to the beginning of August, but each closure is usually shorter than this, and is dependent on the birds' behavior. Description

For a while this wall included two free climbs: The Optimist (5.14b) and Pouches, besides a handful of obscure aid lines. Between 2018-2019 the wall saw a burst of development and now rivals some of Smith's better sport crags, especially in warmer weather. Routes on this wall go into the sun between 2 and 4pm.

Getting There

From Burma Rd, follow the trail past Koala Rock across the hillside toward Brogan Spire's North Face.
