This is very well known in certain circles and yet every few years I find myself needing to find out if it's still true. Unfortunately this truth was verified on this classic when the clipping jug at bolt three broke without warning and immediately vaporized into fine dust on impact with the ground, narrowly missing my belayer. Maybe with a few more years of traffic it will have cleaned up a bit; but until then, having done my small part in cleaning up America's 2nd best crag, I return to the promised land of God's own stone.
