Sore Heel Hollow Rock Climbing

2WD: park at the top parking lot before the Motherlode hill, continue down the hill and make a right onto the Sore Heel shortcut trail. This trail is significantly shorter and easier than the road which goes to Sore Heel parking.

4WD: Continue down the Motherlode hill and park in one of two locations:

Flat Holler Parking: This is recommended, from the lot, cross the road and take the Sore Heel connector trail, a short and flat trail that dumps you out into the Sore Heel lot.

Sore Heel Parking: Take the Motherlode hill, then take the first right when the road branches up hill. A few spots are available before the last hill for the Gallery. The last hill is typically in poor condition and requires high clearance, a large parking lot exists at the bottom of the hill.
