Aug 26, 2026 · Monica’s 40th birthday slog. Did this on day one, then moved camp over to the base of brokentop in the meadow. Did brokentop next. Great times in the mountains! Heart rate peaked at 166 as we took things pretty slow headed up the scree fields.

Jul 5, 2026 · Follow. Monica’s birthday projecting session again. Day before she turns 40. She took a pretty good whip at the 6th bolt on the dihedral. I top roped it and was able to pull that big move without too much trouble by crimping the decent crimp about 13” above and to the right of the bolt. Got both hands onto that crimp and stood up onto the high left foot. Trust the foot!

Mar 8, 2026 · Lead / Flash. Monica led pitch 1 and 2 linked. I led pitch 3. What a fun route! We walked off, a bit of an edge tire to get down but not too bad. Walk-off is definitely worth doing over raps. Next time, would consider doing the whole thing as one pitch.
