Description Suggest change

South Sister is the third highest peak in Oregon. It has several glaciers and at least nine routes. The most popular route is the South Side Route.
Expect crowds on the weekends.

The rock is volcanic crap.

Getting There Suggest change

From Bend, take the Cascade Lakes Highway west about 6.5 miles, past Mount Bachelor ski resort, to the Devils Lake
campground trailhead.

Northwest Forest Pass required.
