Description

The bolted slab face you'll see when finishing Betty's Altered Elbow. From the chain anchors atop pitch 4 of Betty's, scramble or rappel down a short distance to a large pine tree.

This pitch makes for a great 5th pitch extension, more or less in character with Betty's Altered Elbow.

Location

From the top of Betty's Altered Elbow, descend via rap or scrambling to a large pine to climber's right. The route is easy to spot.

I found places to place a couple cams. orange and red metolius the rest draws. Fun climb. Little dirty, my partner got to listen to my expletives. I enjoyed the climb though pretty consistent 5.8 friction and my partner was kind enough to set up a quick tyrollean traverse for me to get back to B.A.E anchors. Not sure if there is easier alternative rap down. Worth doing if on top of B.A.E for one more pitch of slabbin. Oct 22, 2017
