Description Suggest change

Mislabeled, as best I can tell, on both this

and the 2010 D'Antonio book, Fossil Fueled climbs a line through a blocky dihedral down low to tricky moves through a bulge on the blunt arête to easier but still engaging face climbing to the anchors.

Location Suggest change

Start about twenty five feet right of Grand Cru starting behind a couple of large boulders that are guarded by a healthy cholla. The arête is an obvious line.

The topo photo

and in D'Antonio's 2010 guidebook suggests this starts up the black, sharp limestone well right of the arête, but there's not a route in that vicinity, so I'm pretty sure this is Fossil Fueled. The description of "a rounded prow" (5.11b) in the 2005 Knapp/Thompson/Aschert guidebook fits this line well.

Protection Suggest change

11 bolts to a two-bolt anchor.
