Gotham City starts 10 feet left of Awakenings, 40 feet left of Time Square, at a crack in the center of a black slab. Climb the slab past two bolts (crux), then work up and left on easier ground to a steeper headwall. Climb the headwall past three more bolts to the anchors.

One of the easier 10a routes in the area, with a brief crux. Another OK warm-up route.

7 bolts to a 2-bolt anchor.

I thought this was a really fun warm up. The crux is distinct and leads into casual, fun climbing. May 9, 2011

Fun, short crux to laid back climbing above, assuming the bolts have been replaced (at least I didn't notice anything particularly concerning about them). First 10 onsight for me, but given the non-sustained nature, I'd put an asterisk next to that. Chuckle. Jun 19, 2015
Fun, thoughtful start, crux move just after second bolt with great left crimp to pull through. Nice moderate. I suggest completing facelift with a new anchor. Bolts. Jul 11, 2016

This is a fun route; however, the top anchor could use some love. The right bolt was spinning in the hole 11/10/18, and I was unable to tighten it.

The route itself is very fun and engaging. The crux is at the second bolt. If you're shorter than 5'10" like me, you will have some difficulty protecting the crimpy move, but my buddy who is 6' was able to reach the second bolt. Above that, once you reach the arete, it's not as challenging but still very fun! Nov 11, 2018
