Description
Climb the steep groove. Overhanging terrain leads to easier climbing above, joining with Ripple Rider.
When top-roping, use a directional to stay on the actual line. Otherwise you will likely drift onto Off the Lip (5.9).
Location
Wheeler Gorge features two bridges that bisect the area; an upstream bridge and a downstream bridge. Steep and Deep is located immediately adjacent to the lower (downstream) bridge.
At the lower (downstream) bridge, when facing downstream, Steep and Deep is the first route you will encounter, to your left, immediately downstream from the bridge.
