The Nose
Nov 30, 2025 · 30 pitches. Lead. 30 pitches for 30th bday! Awesome first Nose experience, long and slow wall style over 5 days with Siri. Perfect weather and had the route completely to ourselves. Couldn’t ask for more (except maybe more daylight!). Day 0 - fix Pine Line on Sunday night while hiking gear in. The only pitch I did without ladders ha ha. Day 1 - climb and haul to base of Stovelegs (p6) Day 2 - climb to El Cap tower(p12). Nice bivy to ourselves. Day 3 - climb to p18, below Great Roof. Texas Flake scary, even with a (short) stick clip! King swing fun. Day 4 - climb to Camp 6 (p23). Tired, hard day for me. Day 5 - top out ~1530, settle in for a lovely summit bivy. Changing corners is a beautiful pitch of climbing. Day 6 - hike down east ledges. Much easier than I remembered. Aided about as much as possible, more free would obviously speed things up. I led and hauled 25/30 pitches. Feels great to accomplish a goal that Siri and I have been working on together for almost 3 years. Now I can shelve big walling until I can free climb more. Woo!

Watchtower - North Face
Aug 1, 2025 · 9 pitches. Lead / Flash. Scary Tenaya Peak. Had a great time, but overall it was a bit run out and loose for my taste. Cool route with some fun climbing that needs to clean up. Climbed with MR on our ‘day off’ after surveying Tower lake area. Led topo pitches 2-4, 6, 7, 9. The route was straightforward except for p7. Had to spend a long while searching for a solid belay in the middle of the ‘face cracks’ of topo p8. Big block came off at top of p8. Scrambled Tower Peak after..fun day.

Jul 20, 2025 · Lead. Lovely day, nice ridge. Approach was spectacular. Rope stuck on second rap, had to climb up and down to free it. Soloing in approach shoes would not be for me. 35m rope was way short for the second rap..had to use all my soft goods to retrieve a lengthened single strand rap.
