Access Issue: Current San Diego County Advisories Details

Start up a shallow, slick, dihedral. Move straight up the dihedral to the third bolt, and then traverse left for about 15 feet onto brownish rock. From there continue on to the top. This route shares its 5th bolt with Empathy. Crux is probably passing the slick terrain between the first and second bolt.

Five bolt line to the left of Empathy and to the right of the Wasp. Note: The start of the route is also to the right of the aid route Misbegotten, although it crosses over this route past the third bolt.

Five bolts and a two bolt anchor with rap rings.

The line in the guide looks similar to the current bolt line. I think the 15ft traverse was based on the old bolts? Following the new ones and the marked route is still solid 10d though. Aug 13, 2011

I found this route to be quite sandbagged. Slippery feet with small crimps/greasy slopers made for a very challenging route. Stick clip for the first bolt recommended. Dec 8, 2018
