Description Suggest change

The guidebook calls this the largest dihedral in North Carolina.

P1: Start on top of the large boulder at the base of the corner. Step off the stacked blocks and climb some chockstones to a stance in a chimney section. Either climb up the corner here, or if it's wet, step out onto the face and climb up until you can rejoin the corner above the bush. Climb up to another chockstone and then work through a short offwidth/squeeze chimney to reach the sloping ledge on the right side of the corner. From here, step onto the left face and climb a short, steep section to reach a good belay ledge.

P2: Climb through a cruxy section right off the belay (watch out for loose blocks), then continue up easier ground to under the roofs at the top. Move onto the left face to top out.

Location Suggest change

The obvious corner to the left of Straight and Narrow. Walk uphill between the large boulder and the wall, then chimney up to get on top of the boulder.

Protection Suggest change

Double rack of cams to #3 with nuts, single #4 and #6. The #6 works perfect to protect the offwidth on P1, but a smaller piece could be placed a little lower and deeper into the corner also.

The P1 belay takes .75/1 cams.
