RAPTOR CLOSURES: please be aware of seasonal raptor closures. They occur annually in the spring.
Important - Stay off the part of the wall that faces the road. If you are looking down at the water, then you shouldnt be there. Access is touchy. Yes, there are good climbs there, but no, you dont want to ruin access for everyone and there are just a few hundred other good climbs in the Creek.
Description
A striking OW line that I didn't see in the book or on MP. Might be 5.11 if you don't fit in the starting squeeze? If any info looks wrong, please feel free to comment so it can be changed.
There's a chossy approach no matter how you skin it. My partner and I scrambled up from the right side of the climb and traversed over left to the good belay ledge under the crack. But you can also head up the corner above the plaque (more direct). Be careful, this big starting ledge at the base of the crack might be falling away from the wall.
Once on the ledge, start up the hand crack to a tight squeeze, then into a great #5s crack. After the ledge/pod rest, the crack trends right and becomes #6s. At the end when the stacks get baggy, you can opt for a crack switch to the vertical #4s crack on the right to mantel to the finishing ledge.
