Jul 8, 2024 · Send. I feel this is better rated like a boulder as it's really just two/three moves. Took roughly 8 tries across 3 days. Always succeeded on the feet cut and right arm bump, but struggled to stand up after heel hooking 2nd tier ledge. Got a suggestion of shimmying all the way right on the 2nd tier and was able to get it on the first attempt after doing that.

Sep 2, 2023 · Flash. I thought this was a 5.10/V2 climb. The arete was much easier than I thought it would be with consistent footholds. The crux was mostly fear based, you hang on a slopey right side pull to reach high for a excellent jug. Much easier than many other v3 rated boulders in this canyon and my favorite climb from the trip.

May 8, 2022 · Lead / Fell/Hung. Mothers day climb! I lead it with a few falls. I could redpoint with another attempt or two. One of the best climbs I have done at mission gorge. Harder than Empathy and Monkey Dance. Similar difficulty to standard deviation.

I made some progress on the following moves, but was just short of second bolt. Felt possible but really difficult. Hope to give it a try (on TR) on another day when I am less pumped.

Dec 12, 2020 · Lead / Fell/Hung. The first two bolts are 5.10c climbing with a high risk of decking on boulder. Would recommend belayer keeps rope tight and is ready to sit down to reduce fall distance. Right side is slick with lots of small crimps that can be used for feet or hands. Lots of possible beta here and this climb doesn't get nearly enough love. The dihedral at the top is very easy, (5.7) but I wouldn't recommend scrambling up it. 1 more bolt would make this a pretty safe lead, so I am surprised there isn't one.
