Description
A consistently difficult and demanding (but not completely deathly) outing, this route traverses solid white rock, offering at least 3 cruxes separated by solid stances. All in, there’s a full rope length (200+ feet) of high quality and interesting climbing. It’s a little astonishing this hadn’t seen an ascent before 2024.
Start on Wire Wizard, navigating the initial choss band and moving diagonally through a lichen patch until you reach a white face. From here, move straight up and pull over a small but intricate overhang with sparse protection options. Continue slightly right toward another overhang where you’ll find another well-protected but off-kilter boulder problem. A third off-balance, exciting, and tension-filled crux, with solid gear at your feet, awaits at the next overhang. Finish with a romp through some hero roofs.
