This is a nice, moderate, fat ice route. It is just a short distance from the trail to Chasm Lake. There is a steep start for 30? feet to a low angle slab. It is 120 feet total. Walk off to the right. There are multiple variations possible.

There is another moderate flow to the left. There is an down low close to the pool.

Columbine froze up quite well in late December, but as of now it's melting, the far left is the most solid, but the right has the WI-3+(if you like frozen slurpies at 7-11). Jan 14, 2010
Light snow and slick trail approach. Ice is in although somewhat thin, stream is poking through in a couple of places. We toproped w/ 60m rope, 3 screws backed up w/50 feet of webbing to a nearby boulder. Oct 27, 2002
