Art's Spar
May 10, 2026 · 3 pitches. Climbed with Mallorie. She got the second pitch, and I got the first and the third. Apparently I didn't do the right bit of the first pitch and did some variation. I got through the roof on the third pitch, but hung on every piece of gear I placed, repeatedly! At least now I know it's possible. The move in the slippery corner before the roof is still spooky. We rapped after the third pitch.

May 8, 2026 · Follow. Climbed with Noah! He cruised through the first pitch, and he got the roof! I've still gotta do a weird palm press thing on the arete to get my feet up out of the roof. Scary to do on lead!

May 8, 2026 · Follow. Climbed with Noah! A handhold at the start broke off, and thank goodness Noah had placed a #2 cam that kept him off the deck!

The Metamorphosis
May 8, 2026 · Lead / Fell/Hung. Climbed with Noah! This felt hard this time, I forgot just how spooky it really is! A note for my future self; at the crux baby hueco, match, get the right foot high, and reach up with the right hand to pull on a shitty crimp. I matched the crimp this time. The goal is to get your center of gravity over your right foot, so you have to rock over. It's spooky! But a stopper in the flake will definitely hold a fall :)

Aid Crack
May 3, 2026 · Lead / Fell/Hung. Climbed with Noah! This was my onsight attempt, and I hung all over this route haha! Most of the moves are fine, some of the pin scars are quite painful to jam, and I had very low confidence in most of my gear. It was a heck of a climb! Noah cruised up it on TR, making it look relatively chill :)

May 3, 2026 · 1 pitch. Solo. Soloed with Noah! Noah let me know I've been doing a much harder start than normal for the route. Whoops!
