This west-facing crag is one of the lesser-known areas on the mountain, though it has easy approach (<30 min) along with 40+ routes ranging from 5.7 to 5.12. It is located along a nice little creek, complete with pools for cooling off in the hot Arizona summer. If you're thinking of cliff diving into an Olympic-size pool, don't get too excited. However, the setting is pristine, and the stream doesn't run dry, so if you get too hot, there's fresh water nearby too cool off in.
The Troll Wall is a bit taller and more featured than the Munchkinland walls and is (thankfully) also without its the hordes of people & packs of dogs. Luckily, the big fire spared some of trees around this area, so there is still morning shade to be found. Since this wall is east-facing, you'll be in the shade after 1pm, which is obviously nice to have on hot summer days, unless you're crazy and love to bake while climbing. In that case, you need to be climbing at The Dry, which in summer is affectionately known as The Oven.
There are traditional lines up to 150' feet long, several two pitch climbs, and even some bolted lines. Unfortunately, there is no topo of which I am aware. If you come across one, please upload it!
Getting There
Take the standard Munchkinland approach to the west Munchkinland wall. Keep going down the trail for another 5 minutes to the obvious east-facing crag.

This area is fantastic! In my opionion, the Troll Wall may be the the best crag on Lemmon for traditional climbing. The quality of the climbing is similar to Chimney Rock, and the routes are generally longer.
For hot summer days, consider spending the first part of the day at Munchkinland (where the majority of the climbs will be in the shade until noon.) Then head down to the Troll Wall at about 1pm when it comes into the shade.
When the weather warms up, I'll be happy to produce a detailed topo for the routes that I'm familiar with. About 20 routes are detailed in Squeezing the Lemmon, most/all of which have been well-cleaned and now have solid anchors. There are also loads of new climbs here, many of which are excellent. I think there are about 40-50 routes in total.
i just finished up the first draft of a topo for the left side of the troll wall. for any of you who are interested in it, you can download it from http://www.geir.com/climbs.html.
there's still a lot of work i need to do on this topo. if you notice anything amiss, feel free to PM me and i'll gladly update the topo.
