Dec 31, 2026 · Lead / Onsight. Found the ice in great shaped. Gully was steepish but good to stomp out a belay spot. Pitch one wasn’t so long. Ramos to a very section and the vert was fun. Tree has a sling on it to wrap so bring that to reinforce next time. Bailed off p1 p2 looked rad but we needed more time and the traverse would be techy and maybe sketch to get to hit it would’ve gone and is still a good enough amount of ice to get after. Easier exit ice on the right just behind the belay tree

Jun 17, 2026 · 2 pitches. Follow. Chris insight led. P1 inside corner very very short. Almost not even really a pitch. P2 belay at the tree. Linked p2/p3 brought a #5 that helped but not essential. There’s one pretty big move with a pinch on the left and right but not great feet where moving too fast cause the hand to slip barn door resulting in a fall. P2 crux is the overhang all The moves are there. Hand crack is a bit thin past this but stay in it to keep the right line and protection.

Feb 16, 2026 · Lead / Onsight. Followed p1 (4) & 2 (2) onsighted the p3 (5+) crux. Took good screws every pitch. Can easily solo p2 to the base of p3. No bolts on the rock but there should be. Tree to the right of p3 (going toward trans glacial) is slung for rapping. Need to v thread for final rappel after the tree to get you to the ground and walk around the logical trail back to the base of p1

Jan 29, 2026 · Lead / Onsight. More like 3 pitches of climbing. Led all pitches with Dan and Shane following. First pitch is the crux. Easier bail option around to the left or harder in the center or to the right. Center went at maybe 4 or 4+. Took center to center right line pulled the bulge and home free after that. Some thin spots on the upper pitches but too much snow there anyway to call it good ice for the pitch. I didn’t see any bolts so we ice screw belayed, used a big tree for the last good pitch of ice. We set some anchor tat on a tree you can access once you top out and head to the left then v threaded off the rest of the pitches to get down.

Jan 18, 2026 · Lead / Onsight. Took steeper line to the left but not so steep really once you get on it. Good screws, a bit thin close to the rock though so hang a bit more left than you think at the start. Pretty chill and cruiser. Harder ice than the center line that was wet and getting sprayed on

Jul 5, 2025 · Lead / Onsight. Came back for revenge after bailing before the ice pitch in 2023. Started 1am at helitorope TH, made it to the start of the route crossing low on the Coleman by 4am. Heading up the god awful rock around 6am. LOTS OF SLOGGING to get to the ice. Made it to the base of the ice by 830. Holy shit was it amazing and not nearly as scary as it looked from several hundred feet below. I led and place 3-4 screws but not before dropping half the screws off the harness smh. Dan went down to get them I lowered down off the second screw and fired up again. Angled off after 3-4 body lengths and found bomber ice for an anchor. Then, dear lord the next 1000 feet was unprotectable steep snow that was unrelenting. No real break until you could see the last of the vertical steps next to the bergshrund. MASSIVE bergshrund. Passed the shrubs by 1220pm and summited at 1240. Descended the Colman demming which wasn’t that bad and just followed the boot pack down. Scary seracs on colfax with a big debris runout below it that we passed. Back to the shoes around 330pm.
