Description
This is the primary collection of routes on the west side of Seneca's South Peak beginning below the Gunsight around Banana and extending all the way do to Humphrey's Head. There are several key features from left to right: Green Wall, The Pleasant Overhangs roof, Thais Corner, the Old Man's Traverse Ledge (splitting the central area wall around Prune horizontally), the Traffic Jam/Neck Press rappel area, The Face of 1000 Pitons, The Cockscomb, and Humphrey's Head.
Getting There
From the signpost on Roy Gap Road, cross the stream and head up the stone Stairmaster Trail all the way to the top. Continue up the old talus field, passing one 4th class step. There is a signpost just beyond this step. Go right here for the Face of 1000 Pitons, The Cockscomb, and Humphrey's Head. Go left for everything else including Old Man's Route, Pleasant O, Thais, the Gunsight area, etc.
