Sep 28, 2026 · Olivia led 1+2. Runout on P1 is certainly R climbing, but once you leave the crack it's a relatively obvious line of footholds up and right onto the ramp. After ~5 feet of romping up the ramp you get a few good pieces of gear and then it's scrambling to the anchor. P2 is classic. Half crack/half face, seemed like good gear where you need it. Thoughtful runout to the pin/mantle move. There is other good gear besides the pin. Mantle was 5.6 if the nutcracker mantle is 5.8. Go left after mantle to avoid the straight up thin climbing. P3 was a bear. Hard start. Thin gear throughout and thoughtful movement. The rock isn't the best quality, either, a few placements behind odd flakes. Decided to bail/downclimb off a nut before the slab runout - it looked like ~20' of unsure climbing and I was ~10' above my last good piece of gear. Finshed on after 7

Sep 28, 2026 · Scramble to ledge (maybe 4th? way easier than OTL). Led/link 1+2 with a 70. Brings nuts! Ends on good ledge. O led 3, shortish pitch to a okay stance. Took variation on P4, it's definitely still R. Quest up, then right, then up to the "ledge" - it's about ~25 feet with no gear. Plug a good .4/.5 and then quest another ~30 feet across/up/right to the corner system. I stayed and was able to get a maybe okay #2, but then you have to commit to a couple ~5.7 layback moves on a rounded edge, and you're waaaaay out from the last good piece of gear. One may be able to stay lower and hit the corner earlier without the faff. Then good gear, up and slightly left to a groove/runnel. Belay only takes .75 and .5 (maybe also .4). Save em! O took to top, maybe a bit of simuling. 25 min from top back to car. Obvious and cairned.
