Description
This variation starts off of an independent ledge that is located directly between the pine tree ledge from the 1st belay on fingertrip and the jungle ledge of fingertip traverse.
Climb an easily protected hand crack system for about 50’ until it ends and becomes an approximately 20’ section of unprotected bumpy slab (this would be the crux). Follow this directly up as it becomes more featured and intercepts with fingertip traverse at the 2 pitons at the start of the traverse.
Location
This variation is located directly between the 2nd pitch of fingertrip and the 2nd/3rd pitch of fingertip traverse.
You will find yourself at this variation if you end up offroute from either of those classic lines or if you take the first pitch up Toe Tip ending on top of the left-facing dihedral section.
