Jun 6, 2026 · Solo. Solo w/ party of 3. Brought gear and ropes and didn't use them. Mixed crux was the 3rd step in the first section, M2-3. Snow was punchy down low and on the upper apron but solid in the chokes.

Dec 8, 2025 · 6 pitches. Lead. Manky ice. Hard to protect for the area. In thin for this time of year, but given the warm start to the season I'm not surprised.

Nov 15, 2025 · Lead. Lead P1 and P4. First party on. It was fat and easy for the MP grade. 60m ropes meant 4 pitches. Someone with an 80m broke it up into 3, but I'm not sure it was worth it. If approaching when the lake isn't frozen (2025 has had an abnormally dry fall), cross at the outlet of the lake and try to stay low until you hit a faint climbers trail. Climb and descend to move around small cliffs. In general, going low is better than going high. Aiming too high will put you in denser, deadfall choked forest.

Alexander's Chimney
Nov 2, 2025 · Lead. Lead P2 and P3. Ice was picked out and plastic. The ice crux pillar on P2 was thick enough, but didn't take screws in the few body-lengths of more vertical climbing. There is definitely hangfire from climbers above. The belay after P1 was well protected. P2, P2 belay, and P3 are in the line of fire. Chockstone was fun. The section above it is bare and I found that to be the crux. It was little ticky-tacky feet on a slab and pulling on ice blobs of dubious quality. I was happy to be on TR.
