Dec 13, 2024 · Follow. Followed through the draws. Fell around 9th bolt (3rd from the top) because my left hand pumped out on the side pull/under cling while searching for a good right hand hold. After a 2-3 min rest, lowered a bit and nailed the pocket my right hand was looking for. Fun route. Might try leading in future. Anchor has two nice mussy hooks.

Dec 13, 2024 · Follow. Follow/TR. Theers set the lead and made it look easy. First climb in a while. I was definitely doing the stink bug on the bottom half (steep slab), but noticed and focused on better movement for the middle third. Better/more core-centric movement was crucial for the top third (overhung). Felt good on TR, but glad I didn't (warmup) lead this.

Aug 17, 2024 · Lead. Car dep 0559. //

Climbing starts 0643. Block leading: Eric led P1-P4. Linked P3+4. Evan led P5-8. Linked P5+6. //
Eric top of pitch 4 at 0837. Super shenanigans: led slick all the way to P4 anchor, then down climb to top of P3 top drop a line for packs. Got packs, clipped Evans to gear and carried mine back up to P4 anchor. //
Brunch break at the base of P7 (5.10a) at 0955. Been a few little mistakes today, so we decided to chill, eat something, talk it through, and continue at 1005.
Eric led P9 (acrophobia). Kinda unique and fun traverse. Starting acrophobia traverse rappels at 1201. First sun of the day. //
Evan led climb to second rappel, P10 (5.8), and P11 (5.8).
Eric led P12 (5.10a). Very burly moves. Hands to offwidth. Mini roof hand crack at very top is fun. Only used 1* each of #1, #2, #3. Double #0.75 was handy though. //
Evan led us across the finish line with P13. Summit at 1442. //
Started hiking around 1500. //

Aug 16, 2024 · Lead / Flash. Started on P4 in Rambles (Eric led) around 11:15. Fun flake move at end. Eric led P1 of Diedre to bolted anchor. Evan linked P2+P3. Rope drag was annoying, but seemed manageable. P3 has cool corner slab lay back moves. Eric led P4. We moved a bit slower and chilled at belay stations to allow group ahead of us to gain assistance. P4 also awesome. Evan led P5. Also cool. Eric led last pitch (P6 of Diedre). Just a way to top out (P3-P5 were really fun and consistent lines). The 5.8 move at the top is awkward, but easy. More like 5.7, honestly. Watching party ahead of us climb is reason for flash instead of onsight. Topped out 1325 (2h 10min of climbing). Back at car 1404 (39 min descent). Rack #0.3 to #2 with doubles #0.4-#0.75 would work great. We brought #0.1 to #3 with doubles #0.4-#1 and we placed the #3 and#2, but could have found other gear nearby too. Go light! Stoppers were great though. Placed 5-8 pieces on each of the three 25-35m 5.8 pitches. Cruiser climbing if you're comfy with slab and finger cracks.
