Mar 14, 2026 · Lead / Fell/Hung. So close! The crux here is after the third clip; there's an amazing hold, and then you have to reach up to a tiny right (if you reach too far to the left on the hold, you'll fall) and a nub for the left hand and stand up! There are amazing holds over that, so fun!

Jan 4, 2026 · Lead / Flash. Just as fun as last time; with it getting dark, definitely feels a little bit harder, but still got it clean. If topping out, don't belay from the chains; instead top out and belay off of a tree, we'll make it way more comfortable.

Jan 4, 2026 · Lead / Fell/Hung. This this is a really fun climb but way harder than you think it's going to be. Took a 25-30 ft whipper on it, Dave caught me like a champ. When finally pulling the crux, there's a lip that you can grab and that's what makes it doable. If you miss it though you go flying. I'd say this is more of a 10a than a 9.

Nov 22, 2025 · Lead / Fell/Hung. This is a great climb that deserves more love! The crux is low (it's pulling the roof at the giant undercling), but safe.
For me, I put a left foot in this little divot to the left, got a high right foot, got a good hold on the undercling (it's big!), and then go up to this hidden hole/hold with the right hand. Hold on and then drive those feet upwards. Once above the bulge, it's glorious climbing. Will redo and pretty sure I can get clean!

Nov 22, 2025 · Lead / Onsight. This is a fun little jaunt. A little longer, but still straight forward. Take your time, it's all there, nothing too hard. Would happily do again (and good to take newbies on).
It keeps mixing between lots of different rock feels and it's really pretty (orange lichen parts are my favorite).

Mar 25, 2025 · Lead / Onsight. Fun trad climb, 90ft of solid climbing. The crux was my fat fingers inside a very tight crack (combined with me learning to trust Mel as a belayer). Great view from the top, and protects super well. To get there find the climb from the road and then head straight up to its ledge when a little past it. Super fun and the entire Tchiang Clan made it up!

Dec 20, 2024 · Lead / Fell/Hung. Was pretty tricky, had to take a couple of times to work it out (the temps didn't help). Once I found I go to the left to get that first foot by the first bolt and the small crimp for the right hand by the 4th bolt, that was it. Very good climb.

Dec 19, 2024 · Lead / Fell/Hung. Kicking myself in the butt for not getting this one clean. Climbed it as a dihedral and it was tough and heady but I'll be damned if I didn't make it to the crux which is pulling out from under the roof. I ended up taking there on a black totem tucked underneath it; to pull the crux, it's just commitment. Put in the black totem or any other piece, grab on around the corner, lay back, and just stand up. Once you're over the roof, the rest is just fine. Pretty happy with it, and will do again!

Dec 19, 2024 · Lead / Fell/Hung. Pretty fun climb today with Billy and Janet; took a very legit surprise fall near the crux. Was on the wall and next thing I knew, I was dangling in the air; all happened so damn fast, didn't see it coming! Thank you Billy for the great reaction, and the green totem for saving my life from hitting the ledge (and my ample ass for cushioning the blow as it made just a bit of contact). Would still do again!

Nov 23, 2024 · Lead / Flash. Holy shit, I did it! First 2/3 is stemming corner that eats up gear (I placed 14 pieces total and likely would have more if I had more slings) and is spicy for my style of climbing. Last 1/3 is a fun, albeit heady roof to a final move to the chains. Last time I didn't even get it clean on TR, and now leading it clean. Hell yes!

Oct 13, 2024 · Lead / Fell/Hung. Kicking myself in the butt for this one! Such a great climb and eats up protection! Don't know how to crack climb, so did as a combo of laybacking and stemming and it was fantastic. I was at the last stem before being able to reach up and pull off and my foot slipped (unexpectedly and it was the right move)--reset and did it again no problem. After you pull out of the crack, wonderful 5.6 climbing. Must do again! And while AP is a stronger climber, outclimbed him here and it felt great!
Don't see how to use the anchor to get down (and if you did climb to it, it'll be really hard to get your gear back unless a follower cleans). Instead, suggest climbing to the big tree over the top of the climb and then rappelling down.

Oct 13, 2024 · Lead / Onsight. I don't think I did the correct route because this was considerably harder than a 5.6. I think maybe I started too far to the right. Or maybe it was correct and I just goofed. Either way, wouldn't bother to repeat.

May 11, 2024 · Lead / Onsight. Good warmup, though not a gimmie; this climb makes you work, but some of that could be my lack of familiarity with this rock type. The only crux is the after getting on the first giant ledge, the next bolt is about 10ft up and that is a no fall situation; took me a couple tries to figure out how do it with some comfort, but got it after several up and down climbs.

May 11, 2024 · Lead / Fell/Hung. This was an incredible climb. First roof no problem, but the hits just keep on coming. Getting past the second roof to the final bolt is brutal, no feet, but it goes! Fell at the second to last bolt, got back on, pulled it clean with a sidepull in the horizontal, and then made it to the chairs (not sure how, that face climbing is crazy). Will do again and get clean!

Apr 27, 2024 · Lead / Fell/Hung. Went after it a second time; first crux low down (around 3rd bolt) there are no feet, just smear and commit. Thought I would actually get it this time, but near the top, foot popped very unexpectedly and took a good fall (and great catch by AP). This climb will definitely go clean next time! Love it!
