Description Suggest change

North Chick gorge is well known to Chattanooga locals as home to a nice swimming hole called the Blue Hole. It is also a fantastic place for whitewater kayaking, as well as home to several high quality rock climbs. The climbs tend to have adventurous approaches, but are often well worth the effort. Rock quality can be crumbly at the worst, and as good as anything at the best. Expect a mix, as well as some adventure.

Getting There Suggest change

Take Hwy 27 North from Chattanooga and to the Thrasher Pike exit like you were going to Leda. Go left off the exit to the 1st light, Old Dayton Pike, and go right. Cross over North Chickamauga Creek and take the next left on to Mowbry Pike. North Chick Creek Wilderness will be a mile or so up on the left.
