Access Issue: Tree Preservation and Rappeling Details

Climb the face just left of the tree to an obvious ledge on the right. From the ledge, step left again and work over a lip and into an open book (crux). Climb to just below the roof and traverse left to join Lisa. Finish on Lisa.

Start just left of the small tree, on the far right side of the Sting area.

The tree can be slung to protect the climbing to the ledge. Small nuts are useful to protect the open-book climbing. Small tricams may be useful but not mandatory.

(Leaving as a comment instead of the main route description since it's less than objective)

I do think the gear is G. However, I found placing the crux gear to be somewhat strenuous, and my last gear was just below my feet while placing it. I also found the final traverse under the roof to be comitting. It took me a _long_ time to commit to that traverse. In my defense, the next set of holds were obviously wet that day and it messed with me a bit. If it were dry I'd like to think I'd be braver. But maybe not. Sep 16, 2018
