Outside Corner
Jul 19, 2026 · Lead. Lead P1 up to the big ledge, followed P2/3 Went too far right on the first pitch and ended up on a thin finger crack that was much tougher but protected well. Crux for me was the start of P2 getting into the crack off of the big ledge. A couple stout moves gets you up to easy climbing the rest of the pitch. P3 there were a couple parts my feet slipped and I did not feel super confident, only to find that the good feet were right there, I just overlooked them. This was a very heady pitch and the mental game aspect of it is probably the crux. Climbing was excellent and the overhang/roof top out was super fun.

Witchhunt
Jul 3, 2026 · TR. This one was a tough one. Had to move around the roof instead of going directly under it, but I plan to make this a project climb. The protection is weird and the chains are hard to find, and we almost got them confused with the chains for the 5.10b Salems Lot next door. Going for these would make a very sketchy traverse with a pretty massive whipper around a corner. Proper chains are another 20 feet above the 4th and final bolt, which is right after the roof. This climb is short but can leave you surprising exposed to a pretty incredible fall. There is a spot just below the chains where going off route would put you onto slick bare slab, about 15 feet above the last bolt. Any fall here would result in hitting the ledge before any chance at a catch would be possible. If this were rebolted, there are a ton of opportunities to make this a much safer route, without changing much of the bottom section where a majority of the climb happens.

Forgotten Ambition
Jul 3, 2026 · TR. Did this top rope style with the new middle chains to Maudlin, which are just left of the chains for Italian Arete. Not technically the full route, but a fun way to do it with a single 60. Very slab/footwork heavy, with some excellent hands here and there. Would be a tough Trad lead, definitely would consider it 5.9 if doing it that way. On toprope it felt like a fair 5.8. Very fun adventure feeling route, it is pretty dirty but no chalk marks, so you get to explore the face.

Lost Arrow (aka Original Route)
May 24, 2026 · Follow. Absolutely excellent, one of my favorite climbs. Had concerns about our rope reaching (70m) on the rappel, as we could not see if it was touching the ground, but upon sending it with thorough stopper knots we found we had room to spare. Rap was excellent, just as fun and spooky as the climb itself. Crux of first pitch was super heady, but once sent felt super positive. Second pitch was cruiser easy climbing, but felt super spooky because of the exposure. All around, a perfectly fun route that I am really glad I didn’t have to lead first time lol.
