Refried Brains
Dec 17, 2025 · Lead / Onsight. Mega sick! Unique for BV Wall with lots of varied crack climbing and only a small bit of face climbing. Four long pitches sustained at the grade. We thought the first pitch should be 5.9 too rather than 8+. Last two pitches are special. Would have liked a #5. No need for a rack on P4. With Bobbi

Wholesome Fullback
Dec 16, 2025 · 1 pitch. Lead / Pinkpoint. Pinkpoint pitch one with fixed gear up to the crux after an unexpectedly long rope solo fall. Almost decked. Some folks came by the cliff and gave me a proper lead belay to clean my gear. Bailed on pitch two. I’ve taken many rope solo falls and never had the Gri-Gri not lock. Today was the first. Time to refine systems ASAP. Had a piece overhead and still fell 15 feet. Of course, pitch one felt significantly easier when not super scared rope soloing... Maybe a little stiff for 5.10a.

Triassic Sands
Dec 15, 2025 · Lead / Onsight. To the top of whiskey peak! With Bobbi. Upper pitches were adventurous and definitely not fourth class, but maybe not 5.6. Exposed 5.5 I’d say. Not too chossy. Next time would like three each #2 and #3. Only had one #3 and a big hex, which made the last half of P2 quite runout. #4 would be nice for pitches 1 and 3. Crux gear was #0.5, black totem, #0.3, then #2 crack glory. Thought the roof pull on pitch two was stout!

Cookie Monster
Dec 14, 2025 · Lead / Onsight. We climbed this in two easy pitches with a 40 meter rope (soloed maybe the first 20 meters). Linked into Cat. A fun route but very little climbing at the grade. Mostly 5.4/5.5 jug fest with the odd 5.6bmove thrown in. Never seen so many jugs in my life! A nice start to Cat but would never climb as route to its own.

Cat in the Hat
Dec 14, 2025 · Lead / Onsight. Last pitch and a half via Cookie Monster. Rappelling this route is a nightmare. Next time I will top out for certain! Last pitch crack was rad, but definitely on the easier end of 5.6.
