Jul 16, 2016 · In the late 80's I did a variation of this by climbing out on the left face of the corner and up the arête. I left a fixed pin that is probably long gone. I called it Spread Eagle and I think it was 5.9-10 ish.

Jul 16, 2016 · I haven't done this route since about 1980 but it was the definition of GM 5.8 then. As grades have inflated around the country people are surprised when they go climb the original trad lines that set the standards. My climbing ability peaked years ago in

Jul 16, 2016 · Instead of doing the reach just continue up the corner to the top of the horn. Throw a sling over the horn for pro and down climb the sloping ramp to the ledge. It's kind of sketchy but fun to extend the corner. The second can down climb too and then flip

Jan 22, 1986 · Lead / Onsight. I was taken to this route by Beth Wald who wanted to get photos of it after Wilford did the FA. It was the winter of 85-86. I led it on sight following the original line to the right. The finger crack still rates as one of the best memories of my time in Colorado. That’s why I’m looking it up almost 40 years later. The top was like climbing scary lichen covered shingles. I was told I did the second ascent.
