Description

Start on "Justified Ancients of Mu Mu" (5.8 bolts) or climb friable rock to the right up to the ledge and first set of anchors. Continue up the corner, left of the bolted arete.

Location

Just right of Throbbing Gristle

Protection

Standard rack.

The anchor at top has two bolts and chain.

The middle of this climb was tieton like.

Not sure how this ever got a 10b in the book, slightly harder then Split Beaver or Pony Keg, so I am thinking 510a That said the upper portion is excellent. The crux is steep upper portion where it goes from fingers to tight hands to wide hand jam, #3 camalot protects it.

Other than the mediocre start, this is the best crack climb at Vantage! Rock is really quality. Not sure about the 5.9 post, seemed right on to me. See what other people think. Nov 6, 2014
