Description Suggest change

Fun climb that can be top roped after leading the Sunshine Buttress route. Climb the cupped-hand/fist crack directly to climber's right of the start of the Sunshine Buttress route. Once at the first obvious horizontal break in the rock step right and continue up the cupped hands/fist crack in the shallow corner. You will not pass through the bolt line for Sunshine Buttress. Once you reach a wide gap in the pillars atop this crack you will see a corridor behind the pillars to climber's left. From here either head straight up between the pillars using wide squeeze chimney technique or head climber's right to finish atop the pillar to the right of Sunshine Buttress. The squeeze chimney part will be difficult to protect but is fun if top roping using the Sunshine Buttress anchors. Note that no bolted anchors exist on the pillar to the right of the Sunshine Buttress route.

Location Suggest change

The crack starts and stays right of the bolted Sunshine Buttress route and is generally straight below the anchors of Sunshine Buttress. It's very reasonable to top rope this route using the Sunshine Buttress anchors.

Protection Suggest change

Gear to 4.5 inches. Two BD #4s will not go unused but may not be necessary.
