Description

To find this route, hike into the Sand Gulch Canyon and up to the Freeform Wall. Approximately 150 feet to the right (south) of the right edge of the Freeform Wall proper is a fairly short route with two bolts. There is a pair of pockets about 15 feet up that kind of look like eyes.

Cruise up through moderate rock, past two bolts to anchors. From the ground, it is kind of intimidating due to the number of bolts. However, the climbing is pretty positive (some interesting jugs), and the crux is decently protected.

Eds. In 2016, a 3rd bolt was added.

2 (now 3) bolts and anchors.

Not good for a beginner, but bolts are well placed if you are comfortable at the grade. Feb 19, 2013

Top anchors replaced 4/24/16 with ASCA stainless hangers plus quicklinks and rings (original bolts were stainless to begin with and still in good condition).

2nd bolt (now 3rd) replaced with ASCA stainless bolt/hanger.

1st bolt - old carbon steel SMC replaced with stainless hanger (on the existing stainless bolt).

A 3rd bolt was added to prevent the groundfall potential getting to the 2nd bolt. Apr 25, 2016
