Bolt Failures - Donations Help Details
Accelerated corrosion that targets stainless steel bolts (SCC) has caused multiple failures, including both anchor bolts on a route that a climber was being lowered off of. Please read the BOLTS note on the main page. You can also help the cause by visiting the Bivy during your stay and giving QX some reds, whites, or if youre feeling generous, some BLUES!
DescriptionHard thin face climbing on sharp crimps gives way to easier climbing (5.11) broken by positive horizontals.
Save this one for dry, crisp conditions, or you can kiss your tips goodbye.
Felt easy for 12+. Back in 2010, some of the rock down low was a bit friable. Some holds may have shed in the meantime with traffic, possibly bringing the grade up to par.
