Description
Despite being known as a world-class sport climbing area, Rumney also has some excellent bouldering. The main areas include the Black Jack Boulders, but other, more obscure, bouldering zones hide among the cliffs and trees. New problems are scrubbed off and sent every season, proving that there is still adventure to be found on the Rumney hillside.
Note, the formerly popular collection of boulders surrounding the old town Pound, which you see along Quincy Rd. east of Rumney village, is now closed. Please do not climb there. Doing so only angers the town and private land owners, making attempts to regain access harder.
