unnamed classic hand crack aka G…
Feb 10, 2026 · Lead / Onsight. Sent on lead this morning after top roping once a decade or more ago…definitely felt like an onsight…and a cool full circle moment…quality climb with a little bit of everything…got my rope stuck for a bit in first roof after clipping the chains…Shane was able to shake it loose from below luckily!

Feb 9, 2026 · Lead / Fell/Hung. Cruised until the overhanging WIDE 3’s…more like perfect old BD 3.5’s…then got worked….take as many of 3.5 BD size as you have…wild country 3’s better than BD’s (less tipped)…learned some new beta for that size for me…Beta: I usually climb a RFC with my left hand on top thumb down and right hand below thumb up…so kept putting bottom (right) hand in thumb up and trying to rotate counterclockwise for fist jam…that hurt and was insecure as fuck…so much better to put right hand (bottom hand) in thumb down and rotate clockwise to a fist-like position…then squeeze like you’re trying to crush something in your palm….this was not painful and so much better…left hand mostly just shuffles along as a gaston…right hand jams to place gear and move feet…anyway mostly a note to myself so I remember but maybe it will help someone else too…love figuring that stuff out!
