More Info
Started climbing in Scotland after joining the Glasgow University Mountaineering Club as an undergraduate. Now living and climbing in the USA while I complete my PhD. I like to trad and ice climb. I'm more interested in moderate adventurous climbing than hard cragging.

Hard Times
Jul 15, 2022 · Follow. Followed David up this. It feels VERY sandbagged. The second (first real) pitch would be fine but it’s very vegetated. The third (second real) pitch has a hard bulge, then a polished runout, then a really hard offwidth. The fourth (third real) pitch is uneventful. Note to self: couldn’t fit ass in bottom section of chimney on pitch three—had to layback until it got bigger.

Turbocharge
Jul 14, 2022 · Lead. David stickclipped a grey (orange) totem for me in the crack. The worst move for me is the big reach to the pod out left before the gear (I think it’s a height thing). After that…RH finger lock, high feet, KNEE BAR, move RH finger lock, get left hand, fix feet, breathe and place gear.

Jul 14, 2022 · TR. David led (with a stick clipped cam). This thing sucks. It’s SO slimy. Two hangs?

Jul 14, 2022 · Lead. With David. Scary but okay. Did more laybacking on lead than on follow.
