I started climbing inconsistently when I was 15, but got more serious about sport climbing during college and made a handful of trips to the Red River Gorge on weekends. I first trad climbed in 2008 (near epic March 3rd ascent of the 1st Flatiron), loved it, and was lucky enough to live in Fort Collins, CO from summer '08 to summer '10, and climbed a lot.

I broke my neck in an unfortunate diving accident in August 2010 and I'm currently I'm C4/5 quad living a new and different -- but still quite fulfilling -- life back in my hometown just outside Detroit.

Mar 21, 2012 Not a very astronomical number, and unlikely to increase, but I managed 47 routes over 12 climbing days. Kinda figured it would be fewer -- cool. View Message

Mar 4, 2012 I remember falling on a 5.10b sport climb at a time when I was generally on sighting a bit harder than that; I actually free solo'ed a couple 10a's round about the same time. I… View Message

Feb 20, 2012 Have you been to the upper echelon yet? If not, I can definitely vouch for its quality. Fairly steep, too, and pretty local to Fort Collins, so a good place to get strong, I im… View Message
