Description Suggest change

Another decent moderate crack at BTONP. Start in the next obvious dihedral left of Putterman Cracks, and work your way up slabs with gear in a thin hands crack to a big roof. Turn this on the right (crux). Continue to the top, going generally straight up, passing a bolt on the way through a steeper section with big jugs just below the anchor.

[Listed as “1. Unknown” in the guidebook, it looks like an Administrator decided to give it a name. If you know the route name from the mid-90s(?), do feel encouraged to correct this.]

Location Suggest change

This climb is 10' left of Putterman Cracks and listed as "Route #1" in the Jemez Rock guidebook. It is probably the left-most crack/corner one would consider climbing at BONP.

Protection Suggest change

1 protection bolt below the anchor, single rack to #3, optional doubles in hand sizes, optional #4 after you turn the roof. 2-bolt anchor with steel lowering hardware.
