Double Cross
Nov 4, 2025 · Follow. First climb upon entering the park after 2 weeks in Yosemite. Kind of laughed at the “5.7” grade halfway up the route. Probably 5.8 anywhere else (except maybe Yos or Lovers Leap) that said great gear the whole way and a fun climb! Bring the #4 for down low if you’re squeamish. Would be a nice lead for any 5.7 climber.

North Overhang
Nov 4, 2025 · Lead / Onsight. Fun climb overall but nothing spectacular. Victoria led 1, Cody led pitch 2. No falls but had to keep down climbing back to the anchor before figuring out the crux move. Wide foot out left around the corner was helpful getting through the overhang. 5.9 is probably fair even if it’s a bit spooky.

West Face
Oct 29, 2025 · 1 pitch. Lead / Fell/Hung. First wall attempt ever. Bailed after P1. Victoria was wigged by the exposure and we didn’t sleep at all the night before. Leading P1 was sweet though. Bolts for days. Black totem was clutch + my first beak placement was bomber! Not mad about that. Felt decent with hauling, docking, fixing, etc. Hanging belay was not amazing. We’ll come back after getting a few “not so steep” walls under our belts.
