I've been climbing consistently since 2011 and still think climbing is super fun. Sport climbing is my #1.

No Excuse
May 3, 2026 · Lead / Redpoint. Went 4th session of the session after project shopping it last year and deciding it was too hard. Did it way before I felt ready to send. Biggest surprise of 2026. Thanks so much to my sister Kat for her encouragement and for the really good belays. Also we saw a Rocky Mountain Goat of fortune and sending at the crag so maybe that’s where my luck came from. Someone said that it didn’t look like my limit when I came down and that’s really cool since this is only my second 5.13b and I couldn’t even link the 5.12c parts on my previous session. Was power breathing hard.

No Rest For the Wicked
Apr 26, 2026 · Lead / Redpoint. Felt so good to send and felt way more relaxed and less pumpy than my last session despite getting drizzled on big time. I had a super strong day today maybe the insane wind was helping to offset gravity. This is one of the routes that makes me go “wow, maybe climbing at shelf is good after all”. Spoiler: The pinch beta at the crux takes the edge off big time.

The French Are Here
Apr 26, 2026 · Lead / Redpoint. It was super windy and cloudy and a distant siren was blaring. Hopefully I didn’t send during a tornado watch or something. I used to think this thing was too height dependent and used to hate on it. Now coming back after sending harder routes every hold feels much bigger than necessary. Using the right side pull to get to the little pockets felt way more chill than I could have anticipated and way more chill than I remember. Thanks Liliana for the great belay and for staying out with me longer so I could put in that magic second go.
