Description

This is one of the classic walls at The Bank and Shelf overall! Back to the Future Wall is stacked with 5.11 and 5.12 classics. Back to the Future, 11c, is a great face climb, and No Rest for the Wicked, 12a, is a wicked crack-climb-that-is-not-really-a-crack climb, as well as several other hard Shelf routes. There's plenty of hard crimps and pockets here to keep you busy.

Getting There

There are 2 options, both similar hiking time:

1) Surreal Estate Shortcut: from The Bank parking area, hike down the dirt road for maybe 5 minutes, past the usual turn to 2150 Wall and before the Piggy Bank. Look for the 2 obvious, clean panels of rock, Back to the Future is the right one. When you are directly across from Surreal Estate (the left clean panel), look for an unmarked but well defined trail to the right, leading a short way down to the bottom of the wash, then go up the hill to Surreal Estate wall. Hike right for a couple minutes.

2) From 2150 Wall, hike left (west) for maybe 8 minutes.

You can also come from Piggy Bank if you are coming from the west end of The Bank by staying along the cliff and hiking east.
